Fans of James Patterson will love this Legal Thriller.  This story goes in depth to the trial of a man accused of driving drunk, and how he must fight a corrupt system to keep from spending the maximum of 20 years for a Felony DUI.  This is a “must read” for anyone who likes Patterson.  You may just find yourself a new author to follow.

A Dark Order Of The Dragon Novel

Blurb

Christian Lancelot Du Lac was never one to take a situation seriously.

Growing up he had always been the comedic relief to Jared Bonatelli’s brooding nature. Now, just as The

Dark Order welcomes Jared as its new Prince, Du Lac is informed that he must become a first in

command the future King can truly rely on. When he repeatedly fails in his attempts to prove himself,

Lance is thrown back in time to where his life began, Camelot. What he finds there is more than he

could have bargained for.

Drawn to the forest surrounding Camelot, Lady Elizabeth Payne searches

for something that seems just out of her reach. Tormented by a pair glowing eyes in the mist she steals

away in the middle of the night to find their owner. Thieves, a wolf and the most infuriating savior she

has ever met turn her simple world upside down. But it’s the attraction she feels to the newcomer that

truly takes her by surprise. Learning that he is Christian Du Lac, the long lost son of the First Knight

himself peaks her curiosity even more.

Now on the cusp of meeting her betrothed for the first time, Elizabeth’s

heart has been claimed by another. But even a betrothal written in blood is no match for fate.

For Lance and Elizabeth, the odds are stacked against them. Their worlds

are destined to remain forever apart. Can time heal all wounds or will the fates change their course and

let the star crossed lovers find each other once again?

The Scars of Her Dragon (Dragon Guard Series Book 14) by Julia Mills – Review

scars of her dragon

Since meeting Kellan, I have always wondered why he seemed so sad and distant.  This book is his and Olivia’s story.  Unable to let go of the past, Kellan and Olivia have a tough road ahead as she works to help Kellan release the pain and sorrow from his past.

As Julia continues to tell the stories of the Dragon Guard and their mates, she is growing in her writing and continuing to exceed all expectations.  Her characters are growing and developing further with each consecutive story, and the depth to their world just keeps getting better.  This is one series that I will continue to follow and recommend to everyone.  I can’t wait to see what Julia has come up with for her next story in this series.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend everyone read this series. Callisto’s story gives a more detailed background to the Mooyer Society and how they fit into the “Others”

What about Kerri McCann’s performance did you like?

Kerri did an excellent job with bringing the characters to life.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I couldn’t stop listening once I started.

Any additional comments?

I love this series and hope to see more of them made into audiobooks. This way I can listen to them while I am running errands or doing chores around the house.

This is not one that I would have normally read, however I am glad I did!  Well written, with great character interaction.  This book will invade your senses and push you well past any boundaries you may have.  I really hope the next book comes out soon.  I can’t wait to read it. I highly recommend you check this one out for yourself.

Wraithborne by A.D. Roland – Review

Remember as a teenager how we told horror stories around the campfire?  How we snuck in to watch Amityville Horror at the theater?  This book brings those memories back to life.  Along with memories of the boogy-man under the bed, the shadows moving around in the corners, and that intense feel of someone or something watching you and waiting.

With the intense detail that Roland went into, I was sucked into the story and felt like a part of everything.  Excellent character development and an intensely unnerving plot will make any horror fan love this book.
