Love this series.  I especially like how Brooklyn has incorporated characters from her Brides of Prophecy series into her Hearts of Metal series.

Rock God is my favorite so far in the Hearts of Metal series.  Shayna’s ex is a major jerk, but when she meets Dante thinks turn for the better.  That ex should be taken out and horse-whipped, but what Shayna manages to do the jerk makes it worth while.  This is one series I hope everyone takes the time to read.  I can’t wait to see what Brooklyn comes up with to top this one.

The Bonner Incident: Joshua’s War by Thomas A Watson and Michael L Rider – Review

When pushed to far, Joshua starts a war with the federal government to protect his family.  With friends guarding his family, Joshua is able to concentrate on those that the government have sent to kill him.  Their battle goes public, and no matter what the feds do they are unable to stop Joshua from getting his message out.  With everything escalating out of control, they want a speedy end to Joshua.  The citizens that have been watching, also start to fight back against the Government uniting people from all over this nation.

Mr. Watson has done an excellent job on this series.  This is one series I recommend everyone read, though it is not for the faint of heart.  The corruption in our government is real, and a lot of the laws they have passed violate the Constitution and the Bill of Rights!

A chilling tale that will keep you riveted.  Government corruption abounds in this political thriller.  When the government decides they want what Joshua has, they chose to use Civil Forfeiture to obtain it.  With threats to kill both him and his family, Joshua kills the officer and begins to unite the people in a way the government never hoped to see.

This is not for the faint of heart, this one is for those that know and believe that the government and the laws they are creating now are slowly eradicating the Constitution and the Bill of Rights as set forth by our forefathers.

Love this book.  Although not as steamy as some of his work, G.E. Stills manages to pack quite a punch into this tale.  A quick read that will hook you from the start.  Love how Cali’s ingenuity and inner strength allow her to deal with being kidnapped, yet she doesn’t give up.

An enchanting tale full of magic and mystery.  A great plot with excellent character interaction. I started reading this while on vacation, and it was a struggle to put down to do anything else.  This one will suck you right into the pages and keep you hooked from start to finish.  I can’t wait for book 2 to be released as I really want to know what happens next.  I loved this book.

The Swamps of Jersey by Michael Stephen Daigle – Review

I expected this book to be more about finding the murderer than about politics where this is supposed to be a mystery.  However to my disappointment, there is more political scheming than anything about solving a murder.  I had trouble keeping interest in this one.  The characters lacked depth and their was a lack of emotion felt while reading.  At times, the author did manage to capture my attention for a brief time.  I feel that if most of the political intrigue was lost and the author focused more on the murder, this would be a great mystery.

The Other Vietnam War: A Helicopter Pilot’s Life in Vietnam by Marc Cullison – Review

An insightful tale into the life of a Vietnam Helicopter Pilot.  This is the pilots story and experiences that he is sharing.  Their is no glamour in war.  War is Hell, and this story details some of what he has experienced and felt during that time.  I hope everyone takes the time to read this story and remember those who were lost fighting for their country.

Sebastian

Dramatic. Hyper sensitive. Emotional. I know what they say about me. But I don’t give a shit. Buck taught me to never be ashamed of who I am, to never hide my true nature, and I will be respected for it. My kindness is often mistaken for weakness. I use that to my advantage. Mother and Aunt Enid rely on me to take care of them, even though they don’t see me as a capable man, one who can take care of himself. They are wrong. Buck was the one person who saw my true nature and harnessed it in order to maximize my strengths and hone my skills. He knew the real me, what I’m capable of. But he’s gone now, and I’m left searching for someone to believe in me.

Ashley

What a difference a few months can make. My sister Clover found the love of her life in Range. I couldn’t be happier for them. The men who live at Buck’s Junkyard have become my second family, my brothers. But I want more from one of them. He’s sweet and kind, maybe too kind to give me what I need, but our bond of friendship is solid. I long for a savage beast that can take my body to heights unknown and never let me fall, not a shy worrywart that’s afraid to take what he wants. I want my hero to be more than just a sandwich, even if I have to force him to make the move we both want.

While helping Sebastian grieve the loss of the only father figure he’s ever known, Ashley catches the eye of a dangerous deviant hell bent on having her for himself. With the lives of their women at stake, Sebastian, and the other Junkyard Boys, set aside their differences and fight together to save the women they love.
